Dr Rod Bale, UWTSD archaeologist, will be describing his work on ship timbers, re-cycled for use in a row of late Georgian terraced houses in Swansea. He will also talk about some local buildings, where he has been able to use tree-ring data to date the wood.

St David’s Day was always celebrated by the students on the Lampeter campus. The archives has a wonderful collection of St David’s Day menus, including this one which was celebrated in Valparaiso in Chile in 1913!
