Iranian parliament speaker says 10-point proposal already breached Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran’s parliament, says three clauses in Iran’s 10-point proposal on ending the war have been violated before negotiations have even begun. That includes what Ghalibaf said was an understanding – expressed by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif – that the ceasefire would extend to Lebanon. Galibaf also said an “intruding drone” entered Iranian airspace, “in clear violation” of a clause prohibiting such breaches, while Iran’s “right to enrichment” was also included in the 10-point plan. “Now, the very ‘workable basis on which to negotiate’ has been openly and clearly violated, even before the negotiations began. In such [a] situation, a bilateral ceasefire or negotiations is unreasonable,” Ghalibaf wrote. As we just reported, the White House has said Trump’s demand that Iran halt all uranium enrichment remains a “red line” for the US president.
