It’s always nice to see that all these old characters haven’t just grown up physically, they’ve fully matured. Coral Q was pretty selfish back when we saw him in the original battle but now he’s placed faith in others.

Another hilarious and yet realistic note is that though Kiyo is an accomplished archeologist, it’s kinda taken a toll on his personal life.

The last thing I expected was to see Suzy and Kiyo’s other old classmates here. I love how Raiku gave such a nod of importance to these guys, even if they didn’t have much to do with Zatch and Kiyo’s quest to become king. #ZatchBell2
This chapter in particular was a delight because there were so many callbacks to the original series.
Kiyo actually gets to go back to his house, the place we saw for so long back when these were just crazy kids fighting for an otherworldly throne. #ZatchBell2
If there’s one thing this series does well, it’s making you feel for its antagonists.
I don’t know if we’ll see Cuffey or Elleby again. If we do, they will likely be brainwashed as it seems Beliel is basically holding his own agents hostage. #ZatchBell2
Been a while since I read #ZatchBell2. The month-long, sometimes double month wait can be taxing, but it’s worth it.
And right off the bat we once again see the hopefully-not-evil eye. The Baou 2.0 peeper, you might say.
