A rendition of the Legend of Zelda series' timeline, based on the design published in Hyrule Historia (c.2011), but with the addition of all official games since then and where I think they would be set based on my own research and opinion. Starting at the top with the Creation of Heaven and Earth, moving down, we enter "Skyward Sword." The Sacred Realm is sealed, and the Kingdom of Hyrule is founded by the Zonai and the descendants of Hylia. Ganondorf of the Gerudo attempts to usurp power, becoming the Demon King and resulting in the Imprisoning War. Hyrule recovers, and "The Minish Cap" occurs. Hyrule enters a period of strife and conflict but is reunited just before the events of "Ocarina of Time." A new incarnation of the imprisoned Demon King's hatred and malice, taking the form of a Gerudo male, attempts once more to usurp power, but is thwarted by a young boy and the princess of Hyrule. The final battle to determine the fate of Hyrule splits the timeline in twain: one where the Hero is defeated and another where he is successful. The latter splits again into what's known as the "child Link" and "adult Link" storylines.
I have placed the events of "Echoes of Wisdom" neatly on the child Link timeline, long after "Twilight Princess," "Four Swords," and "Four Swords Adventures." The Calamity, "Breath of the Wild," and "Tears of the Kingdom" are also on this branch—long after everything else. The other two timelines are virtually unchanged from their official renders.
Hey friends, have a Zelda timeline theory—on the house. ☕️
