You don't need a free afternoon to be a volunteer! ✨

A black and white dog looks towards the camera with its head turned slightly away. The dog is wearing a baseball cap backwards. The text in the graphic is repeated in the caption, plus gives an example of two lines of text that are difficult to read when entirely in capital letters.

Using all capital letters can slow reading and can confuse screen readers.
🔹 Words lose their shape.
🔹 It can look aggressive.
🔹 Use bold or colour instead.

According to @status.news, journalists at the White House Correspondents dinner are planning to make a "subtle but pointed statement" with their attire, such as "pocket squares and pins with the words of the First Amendment." Meanwhile... Screenshot of story: It’s worth retracing the degree to which Trump has exerted pressure on the media since his return to the presidency. His administration has barred outlets from White House events, stripped the White House Correspondents’ Association of its traditional control over the press pool, booted the Associated Press over its refusal to use “Gulf of America,” defunded NPR and PBS, dismantled Voice of America, barred photojournalists from Defense Department briefings, and killed access for all reporters at the Pentagon during the U.S. military action in Iran. Trump has also waged legal battles against major news organizations, including ABC News, the BBC, CBS News, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times, clearly as a means of seeking more favorable coverage. Meanwhile, he has encouraged his attack dog at the Federal Communications Commission, chairman Brendan Carr, to openly threaten regulatory action against broadcasters and even late-night hosts for what they say. The result is a coordinated campaign that has tested the boundaries of the First Amendment.
Here's a version of @jayrosen.bsky.social 's post that

Many government websites rely on PDFs. But these can frustrate mobile users, block accessibility, and bury important info that should be searchable. If your CMS can’t handle structured content, it’s costing usability & compliance.

A CMS should work for your team—not the other way around.
Your comms team shouldn’t need coding skills to update your website. 💻
If your CMS slows updates, frustrates staff, or hinders accessibility, it’s time for a system built for modern gov workflows.

A group of about a dozen wheelchair users and community members gather around tables in a meeting room during a Rolling Start wheelchair user support group. Several people are seated in wheelchairs at the front while others stand behind them, all smiling toward the camera. One participant holds a decorated cake on the table, suggesting a celebratory and welcoming atmosphere. Plates, cups, and drinks sit on the tables as the group shares time together in a friendly, supportive community setting.
A group of six Rolling Start participants and staff gather closely around a table in a meeting room, smiling warmly at the camera. Three people seated in front, one holding a large decorated cake that reads “Keep Rolling…” in blue icing, while three others stand behind them with their arms gently resting on one another’s shoulders.
