What an incredible #rescuemission in #greenland ! When the #bowhead 🐋 spotting drone ran out of battery & made an emergency landing on an iceberg, our master's student Oliver & the amazing Greenland Institute of Natural Resources team sent the larger #whale #tagging drone to successfully salvage it!
Sounds like #bowhead #whales could solve the #paradox of #Gilgamesh, and we should all join the #ConeyIsland #polarbear club

Today we spotted two #Bowhead whales ((Balaena mysticetus) right outside the station at the sea ice front. The majestic Greenland right whale are special for #Disko_Bay and their singing is captured in real time by #hydrophones and broadcasted as part of the diskolive.com/the-animals#... project.
