🔍This was bec of increased #emissions from #fossilgas plants. In 8 months, gas-fired plants set record in emissions (5.79 million tons) & average #carbonintensity was 255.5 g CO2/kWh. Without #RES #curtailments during this period (1,616 GWh), average carbon intensity would have been 234.8 g CO2/kWh.
A recent paper examined the 200 year story of greenhouse gas emissions and based on projected GDP growth suggested the world could pass +3ºC by 2050. Is that even possible?
