1) To cross into the Severed Lands one must cross the Blood Ocean 2) And defeat a Hautyan Hollow 3) Hollows are no easy feat: large incredibly durable, and most important carry the memory of the fallen upon their flesh. 9'0 is the smallest with the average height being 9'8 and an average Saudr 5'7 for comparison. However these aren't without their faults. 4) Each Hollow is the amalgamation of dozens of warriors and knights each being highly celebrated. But due to the conditions of the bodies it could take canturies before a Hollow ever rises. 5) They are first tossed into the ocean 6) They are then emilsified at the bottom of the ocean 7) They lack mental cognizance 8) Furthermore upon defeating a Hollow, White eyes (humans and beastfolk) are treated as honored guests for as long as they live. The Sun King was one such individual but is story deserves a larger spotlight another time.
