ANNNND WOW!!! #JorgeTBecerra takes the cake for most fucked up story at #GenCon so far. He fell behind in tithing when his business was failing. His Stake President asked (while stroking a cat on his lap, probably): "Do you have anything else?" And he sold his car to pay tithing.

Wow I didn't expect the follow-up from #Bednar to be even more offensive, but it's a talk by #MichaelJohnUTeh about how he grew up in a diverse community but joining the church required abandoning cultural practices of his ancestors. So for the church to be diverse, assimilation comes first. #GenCon

#Clarbert here telling us that an astute Stake President saw an open door when parents left the church, but their 8-year-old wanted to get baptized. The church preyed on the child to reactivate the parents and this is touted as a success story.

Now #ClarkGilbert is here further inculcating the synonymous nature of "assignments" and "callings" and all falling under "ministering". This is important cult jargon introduction. It's deliberate and slow, but in a few years "callings" will be completely discarded for "assignments".

#KristenMYee's talk about ministering is interesting as it's telegraphing a shift in cultural language. "Callings" are becoming synomymous with "assignments," all of which are being wrapped up in "ministering" that we covenant to do at baptism and in the temple.

Two cards for the upcoming game "Justice Fighters". One card called Yoink has a an extendable hand grabbing the top card of somebody's deck. The other card is Deadly Tea Party where a girl is hanging a full tea cup to a worried boy.
