A purple sky with a pair of black evergreen tree silhouettes
The same image, slightly tilted to allow the light to catch the metallic sheen. The trees now look green and the sky has a slight metallic sheen
More dramatically tilted, the trees are a more vibrant green and the sky's color shift is leaning more blue
Played with some intense colorshift watercolors I got from an artist on Etsy and it turned out SIIIIICK
The colorshift is the background, then I used a plain black watercolor marker to do the trees and I wasn't expecting it to show through like that but it's even cooler for it

Purple bloom birdeater tarantula molt WITH its cap, mounted on a large amethyst crystal. The abdomen has been replaced with a polished amethyst.
GOD HE LOOKS LIKE A ROCK FELL ON HIS HEAD, KILLING HIM INSTANTLY lmao. The same purple bloom birdeater tarantula's second (final) molt, rehydrated and spread on a wood slice. The molt cap was lost/buried so a purple stone was temporarily set in its place. The abdomen has been replaced with a chunk of amethyst.
Now that I had his two most recent molts and some purple crystals I got with the intention of making art with said molts, I decided to impulsively do both of them tonight :) Def going to find a different stone for the wood one but I am SO pleased with the one mounted on the amethyst
