A new, glorious benefit of going #lowcontact with my parents is that I don't have to pretend everything is okay just to get through a holiday. And I don't have to pretend to think that their awful version of God is anything worth following or worshipping.
I don't have enough energy to waste it on superficial relationships. I desire deep connection and community. And it really sucks that my family can't get past the weather anymore.
