Shiels in an inflatable dinosaur costume. She hadn't wanted to come to the party. But it wasn't that she disliked social gatherings. I mean, scratch that, she didn't care much for them unless it was in a work capacity. When she DID go out to one, it just ended with her off in the corner by her lonesome, bored at best with nothing to show for it but a bad time had. While Midori hadn't pushed the issue of her refusal (and that dumb cat had seemed pretty pleased to boot), Nite had not relented, asking her at every opportunity to reconsider. And each time, Shiels had managed to dodge with her convenient excuse of a shift schedule. After all, Halloween was great for tips! But she had been outplayed this time by Nite's savvy social engineering. She hadn't expected to learn that it was HER bar that had been booked out for the very costume party Nite had been pestering her to ditch work and attend. And, seeing as how she would rather not see both her worlds collide... she had relented. Which had created a separate problem, of course - if she was going, she sure as hell wasn't letting herself get recognized. Her coworkers were bad enough, but her regulars? Absolutely NOT. Thank god for inflatable outfits.
Last but not least, we've Shiels' inflatable Halloween costume.
She wasn't going to go to the party - Halloween was a night where she could make plenty in tips!
But after weeks of "pleasepleaseplease" from Nite, she'd finally relented.
