Of the four ships of the class, Suffren is the easiest to identify because her unique forward superstructure. All of her sisters had a redesigned superstructure including a lower bridge area with a rangefinder fixed atop.
The photographer gets an excellent view of the forward 203mm/50 Model 1924. Her 75mm/50 Model AA guns have attached gun shields. Though this gun was obsolete by the start World War 2.
