In a world where they have seemingly nothing but each other, they rely on the othery holding them close, making the other dependend on them. Especially in the beginning where the affection is one sided they try to make sure the other always stays close. Even Ice-T wants to stop anyone from getting close to DreamCatcher, even if he's denying any attraction towards the older mech
