We are thrilled to share the news that the AZ Game and Fish Department and NM Department of Wildlife released the new Southwest Mexican wolf count, and there were 319 wolves counted in 2025 - up from 286 in 2024! We are encouraged to see this species survive and thrive! #wolfhaven #mexicanwolves

M2403 (Ghost) recently arrived at Wolf Haven from Zoo Tampa in Florida, and he is settling in very well. Animal care staff have been watching him closely on trail cameras and discovered his meticulous eye for comfort in his shelter pen.

Male wolfdog Luca turns 15 this spring and has developed arthritis. He has always loved lying on his platform, and we wanted to make getting up and down easier for him by creating an additional step. His immediate response to our upgrade? He peed on it.😅
