Proportion of prey type for seven Adélie penguins studied. Prey types are krill, pteropods, fish, amphipods and others. Two individuals consumed mostly pteropods, while four others consumed mostly krill, with the last one consuming krill, fish and a large proportion of unidentified prey.

This morning I went for a walk with the flamingos of Lake Nantron, #Tanzania.
This is a quite impressive model from NASA for the X1.9 CME, but it is a preliminary estimate which may be refined. The CME transit time is less than two days!
Impact may occur around 3 UT on Jan 20. I don't want to speculate on geomagnetic storm strength, but G2-G3 seems possible.
