2nd, I was unable to model the cost savings due to the price suppression effects of #offshorewind as a zero marginal cost resource. I doubt you can do that without modeling software.
By the way, the study commissioned by RI Office of Energy Resources did model this and came up with $0.0024/kWh. /5
I say "at least" for two reasons: 1st, I don't have the software to model hourly output and prices so I did a monthly approximation. Because #offshorewind generates more when it is coldest and in the evening, I suspect that the actual savings are higher than my estimate using monthly numbers. /4
