I've been handmaking holiday cards for the last few years. This is the 2022 edition where I played with a geometric, slightly abstract pattern. I left a lot of the background marks to create texture. The card shows a cardinal at the center colored in red. It sits on a branch of pine tree that flattens out into a pattern between the pine branches are holly leaves colored green and red berries sprinkled throughout. These shapes are backed by carved lines left to create a background shape behind the image.
