hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

in rainfall over the the Puna and Kau districts. Rain was falling at
a rate of 0.5 to 1 inches per hour with the heaviest showers moving
offshore along the coastline of the Puna district. Additional heavy
rain is possible along the coastline through the early morning hours.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

Highway between Hana and Hamoa around 8 pm. Rainfall rates have been
