Daytime scene in a large city beneath a very old stone pedestrian tunnel which spans under a 4-track wide section of commuter railroad track; dating back to the 1890's, this viaduct is part of the MTA Metro North railway system, other portions of which are undergoing construction due to aging and deterioration, however this section is still in great condition; in the distance, at the other end of the tunnel is the daylight of a mostly sunny day as a delivery bike passes by, a walking signal has counted down to four seconds, and a mother (or nanny) approaches pushing a stroller (pram) along the sidewalk (pavement) which is covered by construction scaffolding.
New York photo of the day.
Manhattan.
78°F (26° C), mostly sunny.
