After fixing a major bug in my C++ path tracing #renderer and another one in the object's rotation functions, I can now depitct new composite objects like this:

Spheres now support color textures. A solar system scene felt like the perfect demo. (Nothing to scale.)
It might not be the most complex scene for a renderer, but it's great for testing textures and motion.
i am going to add physics simulation to VSC. this is going to represent the last 1% of VSC's verification (9.9 - 10.0) and will possibly be the hardest segment of the verification.

The 3D scene graph with a Mesh and 6 `portal-material-side` rendered as 6 sides of the BoxGeometry. Each side has a different shape (rendered in the portal) and different color.

Back at it after a couple of months, pmndrs/vanilla adds "MeshPortalMaterial" so now angular-three-soba also adds it

Mostly worked on architecture changes and pipeline optimizations this weekend, but I did manage to get a nice gradient shader put together.
Now textures can be tinted with solid colors, or up to 25-color gradients; either linear or radial!

It's only the WebGPU tutorial code, running Conway's Game of Life from a compute shader, but I did manage to get it wired up in a scene with a real ECS, so the next parts - like mesh rendering - should be much simpler.
