Osteospermum ecklonis I really love these beautiful annuals This is a pastel orange mixture I started this 9 cell and another 12 I dont recommend silicone cell trays they're very hard to clean and sanitize but I ran out of empty plastic 😅
It greatly amuses me how much African Daisy seeds look like bugs 😄

I've used plastic from empty soil bags to create the snails (I made 3, all with corn) and popped it into a water container like I was using for winter sowing This one is half and half broom corn (sorgum) and ornamental corn (fiesta) The other 2 have popcorn in them I don't grow sweet corn because we have a lot of young people around here who grow it and sell it inexpensively for some pocket money, and I'd rather support them Homegrown popcorn is absolutely worth growing!! The taste is incredible & it's fun to grow

I've never successfully started corn indoors, but a friend of mine swears by it, so no harm in trying
Since corn doesn't like having its roots disturbed, I'm hoping this will be a good solution

A seedling tray filled with broccoli babies and behind it is a tray filled with onions growing in red Solo cups. Out of frame are several more trays filled with more onions, cabbage, lettuce, celery, and various flowers and herbs. All the trays are on my dining table.
Nights are still in the 20s (ºF) here so it's too cold to let these plant babies stay outside overnight. 🌱
I'm sick of carrying all these trays back and forth every day 😆

Basil, chamomile, dill, fenugreek, and marjoram seeds started today.
Variety of bell pepper seed types started in soil blocks on a tray with tomatoes and eggplants.
Cabbage, chijimisai, kale, lettuce, and Swiss chard seeds started today.
The indoor growing shelf. Three tiers with grow lights. Top shelf: hearty greens, brassicas, pansies, cilantro, and bells of Ireland. Middle shelf: lavender, parsley, chamomile, marjoram, fenugreek, basil, tomatoes, eggplant, and bell peppers. Bottom shelf: water forget-me-not, onions (red, white, yellow, green, shallots), sweet potatoes (for slips), and dill.
Productive second day of spring starting herbs, bell peppers, and another round of hearty greens, making more soil blocks, and getting the indoor grow zone organized.

2 packages of dahlia tubers from Dollarama You need to be careful with commerical purchased dahlias and gall, so I'll be growing these away from my other tubers which came from my flowers or reputable local sources
