A Royal Spoonbill (Platalea regia) perched on a thick, textured tree branch surrounded by a tangle of bare and leafy branches with a soft green bokeh background. The bird is entirely white with long dark grey-black legs and a long, flat, spatula-shaped black bill, the distinctive feature of the species. De #Lepelaar ( #PlataleaLeucorodia, Eurasian #Spoonbill) is honkvast en zonder GPS en radar uiterst nauwkeurig. De B[BZ]/aR[BZ] bijna 23jr oud, overwintert in Senegal/Mauritanië en kwam deze mooierd voor de 17e keer sinds 2019 tegen op ~dezelfde plek bij #Ferwert #Bûtendyks!
