On December 31st, 2024, I decided to discontinue my weight loss medication, because of a side effect that made it more difficult for me to enter and stay in recovery from my porn addiction. In 2025, I found my Twelve Step support group and my sponsor, so when I needed a path forward to lose the necessary weight to get my stoma reversed, this past Saturday, I resumed taking Adipex. What I didn’t know is that stopping and resuming Adipex makes the side effects even worse. I also didn’t put it together last time that one of the other side effects is loss of
impulse control. In addition, I’ve caught myself talking a mile a minute (and annoying MYSELF) and the texture on the ceiling of my room as well as a nail on my wall have appeared to be moving. This past Monday, after almost 8 months clean, I relapsed. I am planning to remain on Adipex until I reach my weight loss goal, so as not to risk making the side effects worse by taking another break. Please keep me in your prayers. Thank you.
