Capstone Projects for Certified Public Managers (or, All About the CPM Capstone Project) The Capstone Project is the culminating experience of the Illinois CPM program, allowing cohort members to apply what they’ve learned in the program to a real-world issue in their field. Participants have the chance to tackle a need faced by their employer, demonstrate strategic thinking and evidence-based decision-making, and develop actionable recommendations or tools that could support public sector performance.
