Barber: Yeah, yeah? So what are we doing with the beard today? Next scene the woman with the little dog takes it out to the yard, but this time on the side of the house away from the tree. She watches for the owl.

Rough comix excerpt page two of four: she goes back inside Derrick: Hey, honey I looked at that tree out there and I didn't see a nest. Back to Doctor Wode she's now stepped out of her trailer: The eldritch ones have spoken Hags. We're selling it, it was given to us to sell. Alright, who knows how to get on the inter-tube? Three panels of Hayden and his girlfriend spending the day together one of him in the back seat of an Uber or Lyft or Taxi with a large suitcase sized travel bag.

Doctor Wode: bunch of damn high tech bullshit! Just ride out to the city and sell it then buy gas and ammo...and bring receipts! Don't put it on, don't touch it with your bare hands, and don't let them do it either! Kallans barber: ah, dude, you're pretty. Damn, took off ten years? Fifteen years? Ha-ha Alright man man I'm just playin' OK here comes the alcohol 3, 2, 1

Thrud puts her arm around a cryptid, slightly shorter than her with with big glowing bulb eyes and a dark grey sheet ghost body, "OK she's gone. Look it's been fun but I got to go, we can meet up again some time but you can't hang around and don't tell anyone you were here." Our heroine walks through the door and tells Derrick as she sits down beside him "I'm just not going to worry about it right now. Is there anything on?" Hayden stuffs his bag into a drawer below the luxury tour bus seats as one of the behind the scenes guys pokes out from behind a curtain, the other records while narrating "OK here we are first day of the tour" and his co-star sits smiling and posing for the camera. The artist looks in the display window of a crystal shop.

OK I don't know who on the east coast is up to see this but like I say every time, I can just repost it at a more reasonable hour later if I want.

Barb McNally at Sleeping Bear Press has bought world rights to Oh Deer! by Phaea Crede (l.), illustrated by Erica J. Chen. When a loner sasquatch's turnip garden is besieged by deer, he tries more and more wacky methods to keep his crops safe, until a lost fawn makes him rethink his solo ways and maybe even learn to share. Publication is set for spring 2025; Moe Ferrara at BookEnds Literary represented the author, and Becca Langton at Darley Anderson Illustration Agency represented the illustrator.

I'm so excited about this #sasquatch story all about being an #introvert who loves turnips. Relatable to everyone!!!!

The illustrations by Erica J Chen are going to make you believe in #crypids.
