I think it's day 12 without Effexor? I'm feeling much better but things got scary dark for a few days. I threw most of my stuff out the window in prep for offing myself. After days of constant self loathing I wanted to be gone. I don't think I'll ever get over that feeling.

Let me repeat, I fucking hate it here. Also @talkiatry.bsky.social dropped me as a patient on this basis, 3 days before an appointment to refill #effexor, a medication with exceptionally well documented, intense, and painful side effects from stopping it cold turkey.
This feels like being really drunk while not feeling really drunk. Maybe if I got really drunk I could cope with these symptoms better? Probably not worth trying. I just wish this wasn't so overwhelming.

-Brain zaps haven't improved
-Vertigo & imbalance when walking
-Still twitching
-Brain fog might be lessening?
-Still getting chills and night sweats
-Vivid dreams, difficulty sleeping

Ok, I'm going to start a thread of this. I've been on 75mg a day of Venlafaxine. I've slowly weened off over last month. Yesterday was my first day without it.

Also got an HR monitor and seems like I have no chill. 145bpm average seems high. RHR in the morning is only 65 and I rarely exceed max though 🤷♂️
Meds put it up and increase sweating, which leads to dehydration, which can put it up too.

Ok this post will out me as a certified crazy person, but I don't care because this is important and true: #Effexor #SSRNI is a last resort medication _in my opinion_. Don't get on it unless NOTHING else works. The side effects can be debilitating, and are more common than you might think.
