I had some trouble with my Computer rig. I changed the configuration. The Gigabyte graphic card is recognized like my Asus ones. I learned that the CUDA capibility should be the same on all cards. Or let's say, it is helpful.

Curves of my last two YOLO trainings. The mAP reaches 99% with less iterations. The results using round about 350 training images are good. I need to compare my results with the official models in precision of detection.

I avoid similar cat pictures and use more cat pictures for training. The model is improving. Overall, I still use too few photos. Training is done in two steps. Gray old. Red continued.

I can now detect cats using my own cat models. For the detection I wrote a small Python detector on base of OpenCV using DNN as neural network. Now I can improve my model. NMS is influencing the result.

If there is a memory allocation problem using darknet, one should take a look at the used VRAM and at the setting subdivisions=4 in the cfg file. My setup from today failed with subdivisions=2. The 8 GB GPU was a problem.

Here you can see a problem with darknet and GPU 0,1,2. I stopped the training and the memory is not free on the GPUs. If thios is the case I cannot restart. That was a pitfall yesterday, so I was looking for a problem that didn't exist.

These images show how good a YOLO training with darknet works. loss goes down, the mAP goes up. Recognition results are fine so far. Resuming training to improve is not working out at the moment.
