For #BeyondShadowgate, #Shadowgate co-creator, Dave Marsh, sent me and my team a copy of the original design notes he wrote in 1991.
The game was meant to be a more epic CRPG (With 600+ rooms), but we cut it down to a more maneagable #NES style game, and maintained the original's gameplay mechanics.

Just played the #Shadowgate remake on Steam—solid job! Wish they bundle the NES or original Mac version. I still love the NES chiptune that stuck with me. Rich Douglas’ 2014 OST is fantastic. The Grim Reaper from NES version that shows up when you die creeped me out when I was a kid! 😅 #retrogaming
