This bizarre #spood is the Featherlegged Orbweaver, Uloborus glomosus. This #spider does not posssess venom glands. It kills its prey by wrapping them in poison laced silk. This spider is very tiny (5mm long) and I almost missed seeing it!

Its front pair of legs are very long and have a poofy spray of hairs just at the joint near the end of the legs... The second pair of legs are shorter, and curled, and the rear 2 pairs of legs are tucked against the abdomen.

Sometimes, when you put feels out in the universe, She listens. We've got 2 Geolycosa on museum grounds but I've only been able to get obscure shots of them in the tunnels. Yesterday, I met a local lady who brought me this beautiful young Geolycosa!
