These were my first 'out of milkyway' observations through our observatory scope. I honestly couldn't believe i could see them!!! Ive imaged things with cameras, via long exposure stacking, stretching, denoising etc.... but to see them. Unreal...

A rusted spine of yellow steel,
Across the river, silent, still.
The old bridge, once bright and bold,
Now wears the patina of time and cold.
With creaking beams and girders gray,
It watches the years all slip away.
An iron sentinel, firm and true,
Holding memories of the passing view.

It really is 💚

I love the star burst in the cigar shaped one (m82). Caused by the black hole inside!

M81 Bodes Galaxy and M82 Starburst Galaxy. Located in the Ursa Major constellation around 12 million lightyears away.

As we head out of winter, our night sky is looking away from nebulas within our milkyway. Instead we're looking out into the universe. Here we can observe other galaxys. This is M81 and M82. I was observing these through our big observatory scope a few nights ago. #astrophotography #astronomy #wow
