Here's a jump-start into ethics.
The problem with trad consequentialism is it literally specifically ignores minorities of race/gender/disability etc.
It disregards minorities for favor of the majority, which is why by itself can be terrible.

They are how you find outliers, IE: Exceptions to make/consider when weighing outcomes, like disability/neurodivergence etc.

Deontology goes hand in hand with #authoritarianism. As opposed to #consequentialism, which "holds that the #consequences of one's conduct are the ultimate basis for judgement about the rightness or wrongness of that conduct."
Democrats are too deontological, they follow the rules to a fault.
It really serves little purpose to point at "effects," and claim they are the things that need to stop or change, without attending to "causes".
