Blitzø avoided interactions with Stolas for several days. He would limit himself to a quick peek whenever he knew the owl would be alone. Sure enough, the owl was unable to put down his new book, and Blitzø caught him reading several times instead of working. Instead of calling the Stolas out on it, he would make as much noise as possible to alert the owl when Andrealphus was striding down a hall. He could not allow the peacock to fire Stolas before he had his fun with the bird. Overall, Blitzø found the process exhausting. He estimated that it had taken Stolas the better part of a week to finish the book. He knew when the owl was finished because he went back to reading the first book of the series again. Stolas also seemed to be more restless and agitated since he finished the new book. Blitzø smiled to himself when he noticed the shift in Stolas’ personality. He didn’t have a chance to read the book himself, but he knew from the online reviews that there were several complaints about a cliffhanger ending. Fortunately, the sixth book was just released last month. Blitzø was half surprised that Stolas didn’t come and hunt him down himself to get the next book in the series. The imp would have been happy to oblige, but the owl never sought him out for new reading material.
