In the process of looking for something for my family I found my #birth and #naturalization certificates (thankfully my parents are organized and live locally), and yeah, definitely keeping a copy on my own devices in case I run into ICE on my trip to #Canada in a month 🙄
🏛️ Japan just doubled its naturalization requirement from 5 to 10 years — effective April 1.
No law changed. It's all "administrative discretion."
Germany cut theirs from 8 to 5. Japan still bans dual citizenship.
