To niemal sześciokrotny wzrost taktowania – choć nie bez ryzyka. ## Raspberry Pi RP2350 podkręca się jak szalony W ofercie **Raspberry Pi Foundation** znajduje się obecnie pokaźna liczba pikokomputerów o przeróżnych parametrach i zastosowaniach. Okazuje się, że dwurdzeniowy mikrokontroler **Raspberry Pi RP2350** ma niespodziewanie ogromny potencjał w zakresie podkręcania. Jak duży? Liczby okazują się doprawdy zaskakujące. Raspberry Pi RP2350 to czip z dwoma rdzeniami ARM Cortex-M33 o taktowaniu 150 MHz i dwoma Hazard3 RISC-V o identycznym zegarze. Wygląda na to, że układ z 2024 roku może pracować znacznie wydajniej, niż pierwotnie zakładano. Energooszczędny czip osiąga częstotliwość pracy na poziomie do 873,5 MHz, choć za stabilną i bezpieczną granicę określa się przedział 800-850 MHz, zależnie od konkretnego egzemplarza. Wyniki te osiągano przy napięciu na poziomie 2,95 V – 3,05 V. **Podkręcanie Raspberry Pi RP2350** polegało na uprzednim wyłączeniu regulatora napięcia, podniesieniu tegoż i dołożeniu odpowiedniego chłodzenia w postaci radiatorów i wentylatorów. Na przestrzeni prób sięgano też po metody schładzania specyficzne raczej dla zawodów OC i zupełnie niepraktyczne w codziennym użytkowaniu, jak chociażby suchy lód. Niemal 6-krotny wzrost taktowania wymagał oczywiście tych najbardziej ekstremalnych metod chłodzenia. To imponujący pokaz możliwości, ale w praktyce mało kto będzie pracował z suchym lodem pod biurkiem. ## Czy podkręcanie Raspberry Pi ma w ogóle sens? Na to pytanie musi odpowiedzieć sobie indywidualnie każdy użytkownik takiego sprzętu. Być może w pewnych zastosowaniach zwiększona wydajność okaże się przydatna. Trzeba pamiętać przy tym, że ekstremalne napięcie i podwyższone temperatury będą miały z pewnością wpływ na żywotność urządzenia.
