This may be one reason (among many) for Labour's woes. #Pennycook is a competent minister & MP, I'm sure, but he doesn't ooze charisma (and never has done). Labour shd keep Pennycook & McFadden in the background & push fwd ministers who 'speak human': Kyle, Nandy etc.
