Finally got out to do some #PhD fieldwork last week! Spent Good Friday on the River Tamar taking #eDNA samples to identify fish species using the tidal freshwater zone between Calstock and Gunnislake.

I have given myself a stern talking to: Tania, it's okay to mesh in the methodology and analysis for this shitty first draft of your findings; all you need to do is GET IT DOWN.' Except, I don't like being told what to do (even if it's me doing the telling). I talked this over with the psychiatrist last Tuesday and he gave me a knowing stare through the screen and said: you have just said you're struggling with the news of the world/thoughts of your risk going on with your trip to Europe/physical ailments....it's quite normal to find it difficult even if you didn't have un-medicated ADHD." I had wanted to get this part done BEFORE I left the country but seeing as I'll be trapped in a metal cylinder for much of 28 hours with no other distractions, I'm hopeful I'll work on the plane. So, I actually have the entire thing planned out but I need to go through and put in the actual evidence which should be straightforward so I don't know why I'm avoiding (perhaps I need to refer to comment by psychiatrist above). Anyway, just to show that I AM thinking about it and chipping away at it (even though I've watched 15 seasons of Call the Midwife!), attached is what I started. mauri ora Tania
