सिरमौर के शिलाई में सहमति से हुई थी दो भाइयों की एक युवती से शादी, जानें जोड़ीदार प्रथा पर क्या बोले Himachal News: हिमाचल प्रदेश के सिरमौर जिले के शिलाई गांव में दो भाइयों ने एक युवती से शादी की। यह घटना 12 से 14 जुलाई को हुई। हाटी समुदाय की जोड़ीदार प्रथा के तहत यह शादी हुई। प्रदीप और कपिल नेगी ने सुनीता से रीति-रिवाजों के साथ विवाह किया। इस शादी ने मीडिया का ध्यान खींचा। दोनों भाइयों ने प्रथा का बचाव किया। सभी पक्षों की सहमति से शादी हुई। जोड़ीदार प्रथा का है लंबा इतिहास शिलाई में जोड़ीदार प्रथा सदियों पुरानी है। हाटी समुदाय में यह रिवाज आम है। प्रदीप नेगी ने बताया कि यह प्रथा उत्तराखंड के जौनसार बावर में भी है। इसमें कई भाई एक ही महिला से शादी करते हैं। इसका मकसद संपत्ति का बंटवारा रोकना है। प्रदीप और कपिल ने कहा कि यह उनकी संस्कृति का हिस्सा है। वे इसे आगे बढ़ाएंगे।
