This is my micropet collection from when I was a kid. I used to carry them around in one of this mini eclair tubs from the grocery store. (You know the one, from the freezer section, with the lid flaps you have to snap off.)
I so desperately had to have these as a kid. Somehow I never got the monster ones. And yeah, most of them still work even though I found them with their OG batteries still inside.
More of my nostalgia collection:
Some is thrifted—gen 1 pokemon stickers, Pocahontas doll, and random Troll elephant, and less-loved Teddy beanie baby.
Some is very much my old stuff. My first and most loved beanie baby, teddy. A bunny stuffed animal my grandma made for me. My childhood dog's favorite toy (that long pink thing), as well as her (red) collar. My Pluto stuffed animal from a Disney cruise I went on (that said childhood dog chewed the ear off of). My other dog's footprint, taken before he passed. And my beloved childhood cat's (blue) collar. Also have some animal shaped erasers—I believed they were lucky for tests—a flattened penny from my childhood zoo, my mom's Nokia cellphone, and some of my pokemon marbles. He's hard to see, but I also have my realistic toad squeaky toy from when I was a baby.
Recently added, my husband's two frog beanie babies from his childhood. He says we're truly married now that we've combined our beanie babies.
Mostly thrifted toys. Multiple furbies—the little pink one is actually mine for childhood. I was never really into dolls, but I did have that Bratz as a kid—not sure what happened to my original. Same thing with the togepi...I had one, but it's gone now. That's my childhood yoyo that I got from McDonalds and I swear is the BEST yoyo, hence why I only own one. We have some random Burger King pokemon keychains I bought off ebay—I have had and still use the kangaskhan keychain for my car keys. The simba is thrifted. The fidget toy and kung fu hamster are from my childhood.
More mostly thrifted toys (except for my Princess Diana beanie babie). I never had those horse toys growing up, but I knew people who did and always wanted them. (Not sure why my parents never got them for me.) I had the turquois kougra toy as a kid, but these three neopets I got as a bundle. I also had an identical poo-chi and meow-chi as a kid, but mine were unfortunately sold in a garage sale. I like to pretend these are actually mine come home—my old poo-chi also had a broken tail, just like this one.
And in case you were wondering if there's a pattern to my behavior....
