Roadless areas of national forests could go away under proposed rule change Since 1999, some areas of national forests in NC and across US have been designated roadless. The Trump administration wants to change that.

The #RoadlessRule protects over 58.5 million wild acres of national #forests across North Carolina and the US. If those protections are removed, it could put national forests like Nantahala at risk for #logging, drilling, and industrial development.
