Stella giggles. "You okay, babe?"
"I won't be in ten seconds," I mutter under my breath.
"What is it?" She sounds so concerned as we head for her train's platform.
"I'm getting married tomorrow.”
"You mean renewing your vows—to your
job."
Because I'm married to my job. Funny. "No, taking vows. Well, saying 'gobool. The Muslim equivalent to 'I do'" I brace myself for the anger and betrayal that will surely flash in her grey eyes.
"Damn, I've been waiting for the quirky side of your sense of humour to" She cuts off as her train stops before us. "I have to go home and pack. I'll call you later, okay?"
Moodboard titled ‘A Most Inconvenient Arrangement’ with five images: London skyline, a couple embracing in a nightclub, a young woman dressed in smart office wear, a close-up of a young couple about to kiss, a young couple arguing, a man in the middle of removing his shirt.
A funny (to me) #SundaySnippet from arrangementWIP for the word of the week ‘renew’✨
