i prefer ilya's brother's show name (alexei instead of andrei) and the pike twin's book name (ruby instead of emma). i always enjoy the choose-your-own-canon approach but it's a bit more pronounced in #HeatedRivalry than most lmao
(i also do it with cql/mdzs though)

it's wild how i only realized in the last couple weeks that ilya's brother has a different name in book canon than tv canon when both versions popped up in fic almost immediately. probably wilder i only realized this about one of the pike twins (emma/ruby) in the last couple days lmao #HeatedRivalry
