A male chaffinch sits on top of a fir and gives it's morning melody. In Denmark we have determined that the melody sounds like the phrase "I can say that as often as I like" with a few stutters in between.🐦🗨️ I didn't want to post this image at first because I captured this straight up into the sky and the bird was so dark, but after a bit of adjustments in shadows, contrast, highlights etc., I thought it was good enough for upload. It looks like a great and majestic pose too!😊💚

A capture of a male pheasant in a danish wildlife reserve. Usually, these birds run away from me when I see them in the wild, so I have never seen one up close. This bird was walking alongside a dugout canal searching for something to eat and was not shy when I rolled up beside him in my car. There's even a reflection of it on his eye if you look closely. Even though this bird is classified as an invasive species in Denmark, and are allegedly horrible fathers from what I've read, I still think it's features here look absolutely astonishing.

A close capture of a male red crossbill standing on a tree branch. This might be one of my best bird photos so far! I was in a small forest full of bird life and a lot of them came curiously close to my camera as well. This one, however, came out of absolutely nowhere and settled on a branch just beside the path I was walking. I had never seen this species before and for a moment I thought it was a brambling. They have an unusual beak that crosses over and bends. This looks like a young specimen and the beak hasn't quite grown as much as I have seen in other images of the species.
