Well, I like #Flyway brewing so much that I stopped by again today for lunch. $3 happy hour pour of "Crane", a 5.7% "Japanese Rice Lager", zesty and dry as hell. Tue special, $5 for 4 flights! 🤑 Highlight was the best imperial golden stout I've had, 9.3% "Golden Pheasant". #bskybeer #beersky #beer

Probably last post of the day. Institution Ale Co., SB. This is their California Common (4.9%). Roasted nut aroma. Dry, mildly bitter, woody and malty. Clean but could be a bit more expressive. Still enjoyable. Cheers!

Night Lizard Brewing, Santa Barbara. Back is a hefe (6.8%) and front is Pocket Mouse German Pils (4.8%) for me. I get hay aroma with grassy malt flavor and firm bitterness. Mmm. Maybe a hint of lingering astringency. Hefe is fairly nondescript-not much aroma, no spice, no banana.

M Special Brewing, Santa Barbara. Left is a tangerine blonde (4.8%) for the wife and farmhouse saison (6.5%) for me. Saison has a firm wine/grape aroma and flavor with some spice. Blonde is light with bit of an orange punch. Both tasty. Cheers!

A glider / sailplane coming in overhead to land at the Borders Gliding Club, Milfield.
After a very sunny but bracing walk along the beach, it's back to the village & down t'pub. Settled on this Tempest Brew Co "Riding Tigers" hazy pale @ 4.5%vol. Reet up my street.👍😋 We're under the flight path of the local gliding club so it's nice to sit in the sun & watch the antics.🙂

Sabra Cadabra Single Origin Tanzanian Vanilla Stout. 5.3% ABV.
After several imperial stouts, a relief have this to go with dinner, flavoursome enough, but now boozy power, which made it rather enjoyable. Though not much vanilla.
