Spotlight On: Takayama, Japan 🇯🇵 Tips for Travelling with a Baby or Young Children Green tea and vanilla ice cream in Takayama From Tokyo we took the Shinkansen / Bullet Train to Nagoya and switched onto a local train to take us through the mountains to Takayama. We only had a 9 minute changeover which we would absolutely not recommend as it meant rushing through the station with Coco strapped to Rach and us carrying all of our stuff without enough time to take lifts to the platform!
