[It is] a large sculpture of metal like a sounding brass, which pilgrims or slaves of sound (audioslave) were duty-bound to visit and pay homage with their beater. An unreleased version of the cover, featuring a naked man looking at the flame, was shot elsewhere at the same location. Chris nearly turned down the request to pursue writing the song but later decided to collaborate with David Arnold, who co-wrote the music with Chris. The masterful lyrics resonate globally. The high energy tempo was inspired by Paul McCartney's "Live and let die." The movie grossed approx. 616.5 million worldwide, not incl. digital sales & the song generated more than 48 million streams on Spotify plus millions more on YouTube. It reached the number 7 spot in the UK Singles Chart & sold more than 316 thousand as of 2020. Royalties are still flowing in.

There are a few "grunge riffs" as good as the one which propels #Soundgarden 's OUTSHINED off the band's 1991 breakthrough album BADMOTORFINGER, but there aren't too many better ones.
#KimThayil created some memorable monstrous riffs & #ChrisCornell was just a great lead man.
