Just noticed in Geometry Nodes.
There is no method of transferring materials between geometries.
Nothing like sample nearest mesh, use that material.
A bit weird.
Or I just don't know how to use the nodes that they provide. #geometryNodes #b3d

Holy Batman these tufts look good!
I was playing around with the tuft Geometry Nodes, and when I switched to Eevee, I saw this.
Not so great in Cycles, because theres some normal switcheroos that don't vibe with ray tracing, but wow.

I had to recreate all the hinge mechanics to include proper box size, and to change the hinge length depending on the box's width and length.

needless to say, it's been a journey.

to start, I made use of #geometrynodes in order to create the various rocks and pieces of foliage.
The rocks were generated entirely using geonodes, whereas the leaves, grass, petals and flowerbuds were initially hand-modeled.

Decided to rebuild my old Stage 9 corridors using #GeometryNodes to power the segments. I can specify the radius for a corridor ring and the width for each segment and it'll automatically place the parts so they always line up precisely end-to-end when I rotate them into place. #Blender #GeoNodes

There has to be some method of creating a curve in #geometryNodes from two vectors (in this case, raycast start and raycast hit) that I'm not aware of because it is stupidly convoluted.

Like, yeah, there's the Curve Line primitive, but it does not accept field types, which the Raycast returns.
