The first locomotive on the Hook Colliery Railway was the #Peckett Saddle Tank (Works No. 465), built in 1890. It worked on the railway extension to Johnston in the late 1920s and hauled coal until 1949. It then worked at Trimsaran Colliery until scrapped in 1958. #locomotivehistory 3/5
