Confessions of a Troll
By Richard H. Fay
Made miserable by my sad life,
Tortured by my tormented existence,
Discomforted by my bedeviled being,
I have turned toward distressing others.
Toxic sludge streams in my veins.
Noxious crud clogs up my heart.
Hurtful thoughts course through my head.
Wicked words spew from my mouth.
Warped mind twists inconvenient truths.
Barbed tongue spreads venomous lies.
Idle hands wreak grievous havoc.
Gnashing teeth form vicious grin.
Evil ideas lead to vile acts.
Foul actions lead to fell fate —
Shunned for shitty conduct,
Damned for damnable deeds.
Death of Reason
By Richard H. Fay
Reason itself has died an awful death,
Slain by disciples of ruinous chaos,
Sacrificed to power and avarice,
Throat slit open upon the altar
Of division and strife sown
By malefactors evading
Lawful accountability
For misdeeds done
For little reason
Other than
"I can!"
Religious Hypocrites
By Richard H. Fay
Those of hypocritical faith
Praise their heavenly savior
Sent to absolve them of their sins
Through His savage sacrifice,
But forsake His Earthly instructions
And reject His primary principle
By filling their hearts with loathing
Instead of loading those hearts with love.
When Ideologies Clash
By Richard H. Fay
When ideologies clash,
Innocents pay the price.
When world views collide,
Saints face torment.
When beliefs fuel conflicts,
Principles fall dead.
When pharisees wage war,
Evil reigns supreme.
I've gotten to the point with much of my poetic works that I feel if I'm not offending SOMEONE with my poetry, then there's something wrong with it.
I've become quite the protest poet and acerbic satirist!
