#Oedipus at #OldVic: I love #HofeschSchecter’s work, but this garnered very marmite reviews, so wasn’t sure what to expect. After the sheer visceral exhilaration of the dance and music, the acting did initially seem a little mannered, but it came together into something surprisingly fresh and sharp.
Breaking my streak of curmudgeonly opinions about current high end London theatre.
Just watched Oedipus at the Old Vic.
That was awesome. Those dancers, choreography, lighting, music, sound - awesome.
So many good things to say about it.

Rami Malek - electrifying, Indira Varma above any expectations. The production is stark yet rich, with choreography reminiscent of The Matrix meets Dune. Every detail is masterfully subtle. Devastating and unforgettable.
